I never stopped playing, but did slack off on doing new builds for a while. I got inspired a few
months ago and now I'm loving it again. I have another blog where I put some of my contest entries back when the old forum was still working.( Snowdove61blogspot.com ) Like a lot of Simmers out there I lost a lot of my forum stuff. Stories that I made for, and with friends were all gone along with a few downloads so I was happy that the blog existed so some of the memories are still intact. The photobucket decided we could not link our screenshots anymore and I really dont want to mess with the other blog much as I'm afraid I'll mess it up. Tried word press and I just cant figure it out , so here I am and very happy to know I can make another one here. When the house is finished it wtll be custard checked and uploaded to the exchange clean. I used store stuff which you will see listed there.
Serendipity
The name I picked for my new house which I am building is based on this picture. My version is a bit larger and built in Aurora Skies on 14 Foss View Road. I moved the occupied
house and its sims to another lot as my young couple had to have this lot for their barn house they are building. It turned out to be a beautiful vista lot with the lovely lupine on the land beside their lot.
I would like you to meet Kade and Season Summers.( Born in game Sims) Season is trying to make a go of her small shop named Seasons Treasures which is built on the lot the criminals used to own. They were (ahem) evicted and are now jobless. Kade is becoming a master gardener and also makes decent simoleans selling bees wax, honey and eggs and cheese. He and Season are taking a painting class now and then but most of their money is being used for buying used and old things, reclaimed wood, shutters etc. for the barn and the business. They are vegetarians and eat only what they grow with the exception of the tofu they get at the store. There is still a lot to do to the homestead but they would like to show you what they have done so far.
I know they look a little stiff, but the art museum they went to had a painting of an old couple in front of a barn. They wanted a pitchfork but I explained to them that EA did not make one for them. This is their view.
The back of the house. Plans to put a small building to the left are on the list. Solar panels on the roof help with the bills along with the windmill and they catch water in the rain barrels.
Lets go inside now. The fireplace has just been upgraded to fireproof and it is now safe to burn.
From this view you can see the front door, the ladder to upstairs, and the right door to the tub bathroom.
The french doors and opened windows divide the master bedroom area from the living room but keep the open feeling.
The tub bathroom
To the left is a place for them to use the computer. Childproof gate.
View from the kitchen.
View into the kitchen
The kitchen has a laundry room with a childproof gate. a small tv to the right is watchable from the table.

Fitting storage spaces in the barn is working out well
Although Kade and Season do not plan on starting a family for some time, they have friends with
toddlers. This space is for their use when visiting.
In case someone little gets tired
I did not know that sims could read in the rocker
until Season wished it. I had to include a picture!

Kade likes to watch the gardening show in bed.

I will be uploading Serendipity soon. Kade has a few more upgrades. I decided to add a Sun room building in the back yard.
